Superset Type Extreme Liner Hanger System utilizes True Hanger technology innovation, featuring SafeSlip technology.
The SuperSetTM Type E is a full-bore, opposed-slip, hydraulically-set thermal liner hanger available in a number of common bore sizes. The Type E’s sealing element, rated to 1500 degF (816 degC) incorporates flexible top and bottom metal extrusion barriers that perform a as rigid seal retaining mechanisms that withstand thermal shocking even in the most severe high pressure/high temperature thermal cyclic conditions. The SuperSetTM is manufactured with a reinforced internal clutch system made from premium alloys for maximum durability and is provided with an integral tie-back receptacle/setting sleeve available in variable lengths. Materials suited for severe H2S service are available upon request.
SecureSlip Technology
The SuperSet’s reliability, repeatability, and retrievability is provided by the tools SafeSlipTM setting and retrieving technology.Damage to conventional liner hanger equipment can be attributed to excessive set down force on the liner top during setting, or production operations and unsuccessful slip release on retrieval.
The SecureSlipTM technology prevents over-setting through pre and post-load stacks that limit the maximum setting force transferred to the slips during setting, and through an integral ratchet system that both redirects energy stored by the liners sealing element to promote proper slip placement and that eliminates the risk of the seal being accidentally unset by future liner top manipulations.
Release
When pulled, the SuperSet’s innovative slip design ensures that the slips are pulled off the cone at different intervals reducing the pulling force required to remove the liner. Slip retrieval is also facilitated by the loaded energy stored in the hangers slips via the loading stacks.The MeshRite media provides a unique form of 3-D filtration, which sorts the oncoming sand to yield a sand-pack permeability significantly higher than that of the formation sand, thereby creating a negative skin or natural gravel pack at the sand-screen interface.
Gap-based screens (such as slotted liner or wire-wrap) are sensitive to particle size and plug easily because they provide one 2-D
