MeshRite is a unique screen comprising perforated base pipe wrapped with a thick (0.2") layer of compressed steel wool and protected by a perforated steel shroud. A large open flow area (40 %), high porosity (90 %), and high retained permeability (> 50 Darcies) deliver significantly higher flow capacity than most other screens. The compressed wool layer possesses a wide distribution (15-600 µm) of angular pores providing numerous benefits such as: a) high plugging resistance, b) enhanced permeability in the sand pack above screen, and c) ability to retain a wide range of particle size distributions (PSDs).

The thick wool provides 3D filtration to optimize both sand retention and retained permeability. And unlike wire-wrap screen or Premium screen, clients only have to store one micron rating for all sands. MeshRite is ideal as a Stand Alone Screen (SAS), or recompletion inside a failed one, or as a Gravel- or Frac-Pack support screen. The construction of MeshRite is so robust it can be drilled into place, and a variety of materials are available to make it very resistant to high-temperature/high-pressure, erosion and corrosion. Over 500,000 ft of MeshRite has been installed to date worldwide with great success. There is no screen like it.
